Mountainside retreats, town-centre townhouses and quiet country homes — each one a proper home for the season.
Welcome

The Season the Locals Love Best

From mid-September to mid-March, Kenmare is a different kind of special. The summer crowds have gone, the roads are quiet, and the landscape takes on that soft, dramatic Kerry light. Whether you’re relocating for work, taking a sabbatical, writing a book, or simply need a change of scenery for a few months — we’ve got a home for you.
This is the season the locals love best. The pace slows right down. You’ll find a seat by the fire in Ó’Donnabháin’s without a wait, space at your favourite café, and walking trails that feel like they’re yours alone. The low sun across the bay, the mist in the mountains, the sound of rain on the roof — it’s proper cosy country, and after a few weeks you’ll feel less like a visitor and more like you belong here.
After a few weeks you'll feel less like a visitor and more like you belong here.

Life in Kenmare

The Town Comes Into Its Own

Kenmare doesn’t shut down when the tourists leave — it comes into its own. The pubs still have trad sessions, the restaurants stay open and get easier to book, the Wednesday market runs, and the galleries keep their doors open. This is the time for proper walking and hiking: the Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara start right here, Killarney National Park is a short drive away, and there’s golf, fishing, and endless quiet roads to explore.

The weather is dramatic, the light is stunning, and the welcome is warm. You’ll get to know the town — the butchers, the bakers, the regulars — in a way summer visitors never do.
