Killaha is situated on the Ring of Beara, renowned for its rugged scenery and peaceful beauty spots. Being that close to Kenmare, Killaha has all amenities and services close at hand but enjoys a quality of life that is synonymous with the countryside. Our two luxury homes stand on 14 acres of privately owned, elevated ground; well away and out of sight from each other. Access is via electronic gates, affording added privacy and peace of mind.
Your Home Away From Home
Bun Cill atha & Barr Cill atha are identical twins; very generously proportioned single storey homes boasting floor areas of 1,500 sq.ft. (150Mt ) each. A wide hallway leads to a vast open plan fully equipped kitchen with adjacent dining area and lounge. Like all other rooms, it allows much natural light into the house and has the added benefit of two French doors leading to the patio and gardens. The two very spacious bedrooms each have their own full en-suite facilities with jaccuzzi baths. All rooms are beautifully and stylishly decorated and are cheerfully bright, carefully finished with high quality furnishings, paying much attention to detail. Naturally, bed linen and hotel quality towels are provided for your use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm, and the open fire can be used to create an even more comfortable atmosphere. There is satellite television in the lounge. Please note that for the benefit of all guests, these are non-smoking houses. Both homes have a view of Kenmare Bay, and glorious views of the surrounding mountains.
Outside, both homes avail of large private parking areas, large lawns and patios for which furniture is provided. Children in your party will be delighted with being able to stretch their legs outdoors, well away from the public road, after a day's touring. The gardens are also frequented by roaming deer early in the morning and late in the evening; if you feel like entertaining them, we recommend placing cabbage somewhat away from the house (as deer are naturally cautious and will keep their distance).
Within easy walking distance from the property (circa 1 mile) is the popular Sailor's Bar, and the walk into town takes about 40 minutes along quiet roads. All rooms are beautifully and stylishly decorated and are cheerfully bright, with lots of natural light and high quality furnishings. Naturally, bed linen and hotel quality towels are provided for your use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm, and the open fire can be used to create an even more comfortable atmosphere. There is satellite television in the lounge.
Please note that for the benefit of all guests, these are non-smoking houses. Outside, the homes avails of safe off-street parking and at the rear there is a patio area with garden furniture and barbeque. Children in your party will be delighted with the large communal green area well away from the public road, which is perfect for kicking around a ball or enjoying a game of badminton after a day's touring.
